Purpose: Annual Meeting to elect individuals to serve on the Board of Directors

Hi Neighbors,
The Brookside Colony Civic Association is required to hold a meeting of the homeowners at least once a year and to hold elections for Board of Director positions whose terms are ending. The annual meeting of the Brookside Colony homeowners will be held this year on Tuesday, May 19th outdoors at 7342 Palmleaf Lane in our neighborhood. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
Please bring your own seating.
The primary purpose of this meeting is the election of open Board of Director positions. There are three positions open this year; two with a three-year (full) term and one one-year term position. Nominations can be submitted any time prior to the start of the election. An option to write in a nominee on the ballot will also be available during this meeting. Only the lot owner, the spouse of a lot owner, or a designated officer of an entity that is a lot owner is eligible to run and/or vote for this non-compensated position.
As stated in the BSCCA Bylaws, there will be one vote cast per property lot.
Agenda will be as follows:
1. Sign in begins at 6:30 p.m.
2. Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.
3. Proof of Notice of Meeting
4. Introduction of BSCCA members (Directors and Officers)
5. Report of Officers (President and Treasurer)
6. Reading of the Minutes from last year’s annual meeting (Secretary)
7. Report of committees
8. Election of inspectors of election
9. Election of members to the board
10. Unfinished and/or old business
11. New business
12. Adjournment
Your Board of Directors urges you to attend this meeting to nominate and elect members to the Board. In the event you are unable to attend the annual meeting, we will send an email through the alert system regarding the results of the meeting.
A copy of the minutes of last year’s annual homeowners meeting is attached below. A motion will be made to waive the reading and approve these meeting minutes.
